The British Columbia Veterinary Medical Association promotes the well-being of animals in British Columbia. The Association is committed to serving the public by regulating the proficiency, competency and ethical behaviour of its members and by ensuring that acceptable standards of veterinary practice are maintained. The Veterinarians Act and the BCVMA By-Laws and Code of Ethics are the means by which members are licensed and regulated.
